Don’t do it!

If you could meet a historical figure, who would it be and why?

If I could meet a historical figure, it would be Eve. Hopefully I would get to her in time and with all the world’s hindsight, I’d say, Don’t do it!

Ignore what the snake is telling you. Do not eat from the tree of knowledge for then all the world’s grief would rain down upon you.

Women would suffer the agony of bringing a child to life, and men would just suffer period, with all the grief women cause.

In retaliation, men would fight back and force women to be submissive, and in this submissiveness, women would remain for millennia.

To avoid all the grief and heartbreak that the tree of knowledge brings, please leave that fruit alone. It’s seriously not worth the grief and heartache.

  1. Okay, setting aside the fact that Eve is more of a mythical figure than historical, what do you think will happen if she discovers that there’s another human being apart from her and Adam? Wouldn’t that make her even more curious to obtain knowledge? Also, it’s so funny how you seem to put the blame for misogyny on the shoulders of a woman. I’m not gonna argue if Eve did really exist or not but I’m glad she ate that apple. She’s testament to the resilience and neverending curiosity of women. Our submissiveness is not our fault and it’s high time men should be allowed to take blame for their actions instead of yelling at that one woman who ate an apple one time. Let it go!

    1. Granted, it was my bedtime when I wrote this, so half asleep, but after waking up, I had decided there were other things I could have added, including the fruit which was clearly forgettable since people are still arguing as to whether it was an apple, a fig or maybe even a fruit that no longer exists.

The logical person in me states she had to eat it or we wouldn’t have the bible as it was written. We may have had one, but it probably would have been very different.

The challenge was to pick a historical figure. Not trying to force my beliefs down anyone’s throat, but to me, every bible figure is a real one and not fictional and no argument will change that. ☺️

But I thank you for reading and your comment, it gave me a good giggle 😆

      1. I think it’s necessary to criticize things but I also don’t want to encroach on people’s belief so I’m gladly you took this in good humor. Looking back, my comment was a bit cringe but it is what it is. Have a lovely day.
