The Importance of Water

The joys of watching a bird bathing
Whilst enticing its partner, serenading

The bliss of standing under a shower
the skin feels refreshed by its power

The peace of looking out over the sea
and seeing distant whales wild and free

A dog will playfully chase a hose
whilst avoiding water going up his nose

The innocence of a child jumping in a puddle
nearby, a parent, suppressing a chuckle

As rain hits the roof, the sound it makes
matches the sound of sizzling steaks

A distant waterfall hitting the rocks below
creates a sound that makes the spirit grow

In all of our life, water is our main need
and as it grows scarce, will we fail to heed?

Water is basically what keeps us alive
without it, how will we ever thrive?
