I long for times past, when you were alive
I long for the youth, where I once did thrive
Those magical moments, that made us smile
Those special moments, that made life worthwhile
Bring back the past, and the loved ones I miss
Bring back the past, to my childhood and bliss
This world’s future is bleak, I feel alone
A world full of people, their hearts of stone
I long for my youth, where I once did thrive
I long for times past, when you were alive.

You’re welcome, and thanks heaps. It seems the older I get, the longing for my youth and my family, now passed, deepens.

The longing for all that is gone and shall never return is so well portrayed through your words that I can almost feel it.
Such a splendid piece !
