The Forgotten

Those that can’t work are seen as taking up space

Accused of not keeping up with the modern rat race

Because we don’t earn enough to pay back the big bosses

They see us as useless and cut back their losses

When juggling funds to work out what money goes where

The sick and aged are forgotten, Government just doesn’t care

It doesn’t matter that our foods and our lives are all taxed

As long as their pockets are full, their concerns are laxed

Money will go towards roads and councils too

When it comes to aiding paupers, funds go all askew.

We are the forgotten, the aged, homeless and infirm

And because we’re not productive, they see us as a germ.
