You always wanted to explore and be free
You never wanted a family
You always wanted to travel the globe
Through every country you wanted to probe
You never saw coming this one sexy miss
Who had you hooked with just one kiss
You never saw coming her surprise news
Her growing belly should have given you clues
You accepted entrapment like a man
Hoping for a son was your new plan
But alas to her, a girl was born
Now your spirit was truly torn
In your heart, you wanted to be free
In your heart, you didn’t want me
Over time, you succumbed to booze
Over time you felt, you paid your dues
You had married and cared for this family
But you still longed very much to be free
Two decades pass and you’ve had enough
You decided to leave home and live it rough
No word from you for another ten years
To hear you died, on the street, left us in tears
Your wild heart couldn’t be tamed
Your wandering spirit, your life, had claimed.
