Week 5 – Writing exercise

Write: Complete the writing exercise for this week and keep a record of this in your journal. You may, if you wish, share your writing via the discussion board and ask others for feedback.

• Imagine you are the MC at an event and write a brief introduction to another speaker at the same event.

You will need to state the occasion and the role of the speaker you are introducing before you start the Introduction.

The event is the launch of a new Animal Rescue, the person I'll be introducing is the president of the new rescue, Sandra Avery.

I'd like to introduce to you an individual who focuses all her attention on everything she does.  She has spent all her waking hours, every available moment into her dedications which currently is the rescue that she's been helping grow..  When she's not working on her own rescue, she's running errands for her foster carers and other rescue groups.  She never asks for any reward, and if you offered, she probably wouldn't accept it; a thank you always seems to suffice.
