Ode to Teen Cats

Why is the scratch pole lying down?

And the plastic bag in the water?

Why is the oven mitt on the ground?

And everything in disorder?

Now that I've cleaned the litter

And I've tidied up around;

Everything looks so much better

Please don't mess up the ground!

Alas!  Books strewn everywhere

Gone from the neat bookshelves

In the curtain there's a tear…

What I'd give for some house elves!

Near empty boxes, once full

Their contents lay all around

Ornaments shattered… Not cool!

And clean clothes all on the ground

If you ever want to clear clutter

Let a cat loose in the room

She'll go through your things like butter

Then all you'll need is a broom.

Two cats can do great things

But three cats are the best

If you have too many belongings

The cats will create the mess

All you'd need is a broom

for the mess to be swept

Remove broken from the room

And just save what's left.

Inspired by the cats as I cleaned up after them this morning (12th May '12)

So, thanks for the inspiration:  Trina, Maya & Mason.
