Have you ever felt this way? So homesick for a place it hurt?
Ever since I’ve lived here in Wenty, I’m definitely happier, peaceful atmosphere, quieter area, friendlier neighbours.
But now again, like now, 6 AM, when the winter sun hasn’t got a hint of rising, and I’m freezing cold, but there’s a fresh smell in the air that reminds me of one time in my past decades earlier when I was in the country, and now, more than ever, it makes me long to be living on a farm, waking up before dawn, responsible for animal husbandry.
Not always, but I get a smell, usually it’s clean air, quiet stillness, and it really does make me yearn for the country. I actually feel homesick for it!
Funnily enough, no specific place, just the need to be on a farm somewhere with pre-dawn duties.
If I could make it there, I know I’d feel at my healthiest than I’ve ever been, because that’s where my heart and soul is craving to be, and it’s what my body needs right now.
