3 New Family Members

Well, the past couple days I’ve had palpitations.  I won’t go into that though, my belief is the classic Aussie saying: “She’ll be right, mate.”

 

Basically, I believe if I don’t think about them, it’ll go away… hopefully.

 

Okay, so I’m happy, I have 3 beautiful new girls to add to my extended family…

 

Veronica – a beautiful pink eyed, snow white rat.

Tickles – a black hooded rat, and

Louise –  a golden rat.

 

All came with their own house.

 

Not quite rescued this time, but I missed having pet rats, had some a couple of decades back, and they are a charm to have.  So put a plea on a pet website for someone who wanted to give up rat and home, I’d be happy to take them in.

 

Well it just so happens that a very loving owner of these 3 beautiful girls were looking for a new home for them for personal reasons, which she told me, but that’s one thing I don’t need to say out loud.  And it broke her heart to give them up, but she can be confident in knowing they’ll be very spoilt in their new home.

 

When they realised their previous mummy had left, they’ve all gone into sulk mode and went into hiding, but I know that, with time, they’ll settle down and come to accept me as their new mummy.

 

I’m sure my bribing them with lots of tasty treats will help too.

 

So now my furbaby tally adds up to 1 boy and 6 girls.

 

And I couldn’t be happier with my beautiful big family.

 

Now let’s just hope I don’t drop dead anytime soon.
